September 11th Memorials in North Myrtle Beach

As many of you know Patriot's Day, September 11th is quickly approaching. This day means many different things to all of us.  The City of North Myrtle Beach is having a Candelight Memorial Vigil, at 7:00 pm on Main Street at the Horseshoe. The Memorial consist of a 21 Gun Salute, North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety's Colorguard Unit, The Rolling Thunder, Grand Strand Chapter 13. Red/White/Blue glow sticks will be provided to the first 2,974 participants in honor of the victims lost on 9/11/2001. Bagpipers, Gabby Rae, and guest speakers will also be featured. To conclude the ceremony, North Myrtle Beach Lifeguards will be swimming a  memorial wreath out into the ocean.  La Belle Amie Vineyards and Freestyle Music Park are teaming up for the Freedom Festival '09. Starting on Friday night at La Belle Amie Vineyards in North Myrtle Beach a free concert performed by the Long Bay Symphony will be given. A Veteran will be opening the memorial events with The National Anthem,  Veterans will be speaking as well as members of Operation 1st  Response. Freestyle Music Park will follow on Saturday with four marching bands, four various musical bands and LeAnn Rimes will be performing at 8pm!
